Hannah Montana: The Movie stars Miley Cyrus as Miley Stewart with her alter-ego Hannah Montana. Her life is becoming out of control as a famous pop star under her stage name of Hannah Montana and threatens to consume her completely, so her dad, Robbie Stewart (Billy Ray Cyrus), takes his daughter back home to Tennessee to find her true self once again. Miley’s friend Lilly helps to keep her secret while in Tennessee and Miley meets Travis (Lucas Till), a friend from her childhood. Miley/Hannah has the best of both worlds, but now she is forced to pick one. Which life will she choose?

This film is an adaptation of Disney Channel’s popular show, Hannah Montana and is Miley Cyrus’s first leading role in a feature film. This film will not disappoint her fans of the hit show and is a typical Disney family film. It has already topped the US Box Office in its first weekend and is due for release in the UK Friday 1st May. The premier was held in London’s Odeon Cinema in Leichester Square on Thursday 23rd April.

Huge crowds gathered to get a glimpse of the Disney star as music was played around the cinema and dancers performed along to some of the tracks that appear in the film. Even the Hannah Montana colors of purple and yellow were set down in place of a red carpet. The atmosphere was electric and when Miley arrived the crowd went crazy. She looked amazing in a silver dress and her hair tied up as she smiled for photographers and signed autographs for fans. She stayed on the red carpet for a long time to the delight of her adorning fans doing interviews and greeting the crowd before she appeared on the balcony of the Odeon cinema with her dad Billy Ray Cyrus to thank all the people who came out to support her new film. She also announced how she would be touring in the UK in December after the success of her debut album as Miley Cyrus “Breakout”.

Other celebrities who attended the premier were upcoming Disney stars Demi Lovato and Jemma McKenzie-Brown along with Ex Atomic Kitten singer Liz McClarnon and Britain’s Got Talent winner George Sampson.
