The Broadcast Production show welcomes us to their 2005 show, packed with more than 230 exhibitors showing new and exciting technologies, equipment and services from Apple, Discreet, Sony, Panasonic and Film Light. In addition there is a great line-up of workshops covering every aspect of broadcast and production business and designed by independent consultants to inform and entertain.

The show is an essential destination for anyone who wants to know what is really going on in the broadcast and production industry in 2005.
This is the main event for broadcast and production in the U.K. and the only opportunity to see the whole business under one roof. Also, make sure you have time for a beer in the Inmedia main bar to network with your colleagues.

The principal sections this year:

  • Producer’s room (new for 2005): twelve workshops and panel discussions covering all aspects of the producer’s craft;
  • Channel Center (new for 2005): in association with the European Television Guild and sponsored by Ntl: Broadcast, three days of sessions covering everything you ever needed to know about launching your own TV channel;
  • Post Production (new for 2005): ten sessions on the occasionally black arts of post production;
  • Camera skills & craft: some cameraman explain all the secrets of creating quality digital video images on location;
  • Audio workshop: covering a variety of industry subjects this year’s audio workshops will investigate such subjects as surround sound, Automated Dialogue replacements and look at the difference between UK and US dubbing practices;
  • Learning & Work zone;
  • Engineering Technology Center;
  • Sony Workshops: a general view about the most important Sony’s recording format for broadcast and film production including HDV, XDCAM, HDCAM and HDCAM SR.

The programming is particular in that it mixes some of the burning issues in many parts of the industry along with practical tips and tricks from experts.
