Ammonia Records, an Italian record label, started up in 2000 with the intention to promote Italian punk/alternative music. They now manage more than thirty bands and deal with: production, promotion and distribution, of the artists.
Ammonia is not only a music label they are committed in trying to bring the passion for punk music to a broader audience in Italy.

Common to all of Ammonia’s bands is the passion for Punk, in all kind of forms, fused with Garage, Surf, modern Rock‘n’ Roll, Ska, Swing, Rockability, Cocktail lounge and Crossover.
All the bands have a different interpretation of the punk concept.

The bands they promote are:
Aborti Mancati, Beerborg, Blunitro, Crummy Stuff, CSCH, De Crew, Estrema, Five 0’s, Forty Winks, Friday Star, Furious Party, Io e I Gomma Gommas, Headlong, The Hormonauts, H-Strychnine, Janez Detd, Leighton Koizumi, Livello Zero, Madbones, Manges, Marsh Mallows, Magazzini della Comunicazione, Morticia’s Lovers, P.A.Y., The Peawees, Ray Daytona and the Googoobombos ,Thee S.T.P., Tijuana Bibles, Vanilla Sky, The Wet Tones

Now it is possible for Music Channels to download some of Ammonia’s videos, from MMPK.NET. Simply go to:
http://www.mmpk.net/index.php?g=12&submit.x=10&submit.y=6 To view the videos you only have to register as a user. Among the directors are the famous Manetti Brotherswho’s previous work includes videos for Piotta and Clerks Production

The videos are done with irony and are sometimes very funny, they all have the typical structure of such bands as Green Day or Blink 182; a simple narrative mixed with performance. There are echoes of Quentin Tarantino and Hollywood B-movies. The Manetti brothers video for Ray Daytona’s Slim, horny and tanned is a mini Vampire flick in itself.

Ammonia Records vision is interesting because they are not only selling music they are passionate about the Punk genre and are promoting all of its aspects.
