In a small corner of London, there is a Spanish wind blowing these days. Sadler’s Wells Theatre are running The Flamenco Festival until the 22nd of February. The Informer was there and saw Vicente Amigo in concert.
Magic as always, Vicente Amigo proved yesterday again, what a real artist is made of. With his blend of virtuosity and creativity, he delighted us with a combination of different Spanish sounds such as Bulerías, Alegrías and Rumba in this nice place in Angel. The night started with a “solo de guitarra”, serving as the introduction to the wonderful environment created when guitar and man becomes one. Surrounded by a very professional and young artists on stage, he left part of his soul in every musical note he played. After this night an international audience are discovering what a great artist that Vicente is. With every song that Vicente interpreted, the emotive voice of Blas Córdoba and Vicente’s guitar, made the feelings flow, getting the audience excited. At the end the standing ovation was well deserved by this virtuoso of the guitar and his partners, they did an encore for the audience because of this great ovation.
