Interesting experience at 56th BFI London Film Festival on Friday 12th… Sigur Rós is a group playing a particular type of music, some post-rock inspired by and integrating classical and minimalist touches. This movie is an experiment originated from the group itself. They required 15 short-movie Directors to create a clip for each one of the titles of their album Valtari. The only restriction was financial, and the Directors had completely free liberty of expression. The result is a gathering of all these clips reflecting each Director’s thought about these musics. Very interesting to see how each one of them can have produced videos in styles completely different – from simple nature viewings to cartoon – for the same type of music.
