With the Oscar triumph for Paolo Sorrentino’s The Great Beauty (La Grande Belezza) scoping up the much anticipated price for best foregin film, Italian film industry is hoping for a revival. Its’ been 15 years since the last Oscar for best foreign film went to Italy,  Roberto Benigni’s Life is Beautiful (La vita e’ bella) took the price, otherwise Italy is the country with most Oscar wins, just ahead of France.

The award will surely be a needed boost for Italy’s beleaguered film industry. Istituto Luce the PR department of Cinecittà in collaboration with Italian Cultural Institute is showcasing the best of Italian film industry with its film festival Cinema made in Italy  that returns to London for the 4th year. Its a great opportunity to enjoy the latest crop of Italian film talents the line up includes ten features and one documentary.
