LABOR DAY is the exploration of emotional isolation that waves together elements of thriller and melodrama. Henry is a sensitive teenager preoccupied for his reclusive mother Adele (Kate Winslet) who has retreated from the world after the breakdown of her marriage to Henry’s father, secluding themselves from the rest of the world. One day, they encounter a wounded man, Frank (Josh Brolin) who uses a mixture of charm and intimidation to inveigle the family. All is not what it seems and day after day this accidental encounter changes all their lives irrevocably, propelling Henry from adolescent awakening to adult awareness. As prisoners in a hostage taking, every one of them is struggling to break out of their cells…also from those that have been there for much longer.

A beautiful and quite pregnant Kate was stepping it up last night on the redcarpet in London Leicester Square, attending the Premiere of Labour Day in her bright red long and flowing dress flattering her curved belly. She is expecting her third child with husband Ned Rocknroll. Co-star Josh Brohlin looked smart in his grey suit, reminding of Pierce Brosnan in Remington Steele.
